WINNEBAGO – Presbyterian congregations in the Presbytery of Blackhawk responded to recent hurricane disasters by supplying Church World Service with 120 Clean-up Buckets.
One local church, Middle Creek Presbyterian Church of Winnebago, collected donations for 10 buckets. Each Clean-up Bucket contains scouring pads, sponges, a scrub brush, reusable cleaning towels, laundry detergent, dish soap, household cleaner, clothesline, clothespins, dust masks, latex gloves, work gloves, trash bags and insect repellent.

The 120 buckets were collected at the Sept. 12 Presbytery Meeting in Manteno, Ill. From there they were delivered to the Church World Service Collection Depot in Elgin.
Established in 1946, Church World Service is a faith-based organization transforming communities around the globe through just and sustainable responses to hunger, poverty, displacement and disaster.
