DIXON – Conny L Reints, 85 of Dixon died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017 at Maple Crossing in Amboy. She was born July 20, 1932 in Compton, Ill., the daughter of Kauno "Joe" and Gwendolyn (Moore) Saari.
Conny was a graduate of the Dixon High School Class of 1950 and graduated from the KSB School of Nursing in 1953. She was the Concessionaire at White Pines Forest State Park and Dining Room from 1966 to 1978.
Conny was married to two wonderful husbands, Ted Beard, from 1953 until his passing in 1968 and Ben Reints from 1975 until his passing in 1993.
Conny is survived by her children Martha (Ronald) Fiddler of Oswego, Mark Beard of Tulsa, Okla., Matthew Beard of Dixon, Kathy (Steve) Korth of Lindenwood, Joyce Reints of Oregon, Renee (Gary) Engelsen of Poplar Grove, grandchildren, Kim, Julie, Teddy, Rachel, Devin, Natasha and their families as well as other cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren who called her Granny. She is also survived by one brother Edward (Barbara) Saari of Towanda, Ill.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday Nov. 11, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Dixon with the Rev. Bunyan Cocar officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service in the church. A luncheon will follow the service in the fellowship hall of the church. Memorial donations can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
