Henry F. Nuppenau

OREGON – Henry F. Nuppenau, age 91, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017 at his home near Oregon.  He was born Nov. 10, 1926 in Marion Twp. on the family farm the son of Joseph Henry and Minnie (Sherfield) Nuppenau. 

He graduated from Stillman Valley High School in 1944. He served in the United State Army in the 10th Mountain Division in Germany. He married Beatrice “Bea” L. Pinter on Dec. 30, 1950 in Beloit, Wis.

She preceded him in death on June 14, 2009. Together, they loved to travel. Henry was a lifelong area resident and a board member of the Rock River Co-op. Henry loved to do woodworking and growing tomatoes. 

He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Bea, and 4 sisters; Henrietta Lingle, Florence Hayenga, Jenny Nordman, and Dora Miller. 

He is survived by his son Steven Nuppenau of Oregon and many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral service was 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017 at the Ebenezer Reformed Church near Oregon with the Rev. Rodney E. Caldwell Chaplain of the Pinecrest Manor in Mount Morris officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery.
