MOUNT MORRIS – The Mount Morris Jamboree is pleased to welcome the 60's tribute band, Shindig for their debut performance at our band shell on Aug. 4, starting at 7 p.m.
Shindig presents a tribute to the 60's and always delivers a trip back to the greatest and most diverse decade of Rock and Roll music. Covering over 90 different bands from that period of time where music told the story of an entire generation – early 60's, British Invasion, Psychedelic, pop, girl groups, Woodstock are all part of the show.
Tom Rychter and Tom Benson play guitars and sing, John Murphy plays bass, Sharman Strode sings and Mark Lega plays drums and sings.
Starting at 6 p.m. the Mount Morris Senior Center will be serving pulled pork sandwiches, chips, soda, water and Dilly Bars. They are committed to helping seniors through programs, services and events. They're a non-profit organization and your involvement helps make their center a success.
Please come to town early and have a look at all the good locally grown produce and other foods and crafts available at the Mount Morris Community Farmers Market held in the bank parking lot at the corner of Wesley Ave. and Rt. 64 from 4-7 p.m., every Friday through October. The Encore! Art Gallery will be open in Old Sandstone that evening from 6-9:30 p.m. as well. Our rain location for the concert and concessions is the Mount Morris Moose Lodge, at 101 Moose Dr. just off of E. Hitt St. at the same times.
