MOUNT MORRIS – John F. Weller, 84, of Mount Morris, passed away Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018, at KSB Hospital in Dixon. 

John was born July 5, 1933, in Dixon, the son of John C. and Mary (Murphy) Weller.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and farmed his families land most all his life in rural Mount Morris and Polo. John was an avid vintage car collector, enjoyed giving his dogs a ride on the gator or coming into town to hear the latest gossip. But most of all John enjoyed spending time on the family farm.

Survivors include sister Mary Weller of Mount Morris; niece Cynthia (James) Chapman of Monroe, Wis., and nephew Bradley (Chris) Weller of Mount Morris; great niece Jessica Weller and great nephews Daniel Chapman and Adam Weller; special farming friend and partner in crime Michael (Kaylene) Reynolds and their children Augustine, Thomas and Henry Reynolds.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Charles Weller.

Mass of Christian Burial was on Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at 11 a.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church, Polo, with the Rev. Joseph P. Naill officiating. Burial followed the funeral service at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Polo. Visitation was Friday, Feb. 16, 2018 at Polo Family Funeral Home, 110 E. Dixon St, from 9:30-10:45 a.m. 

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Pinecrest Manor in Mount Morris.
