CHANA – Joseph D. “Joey” Deuth, 32, lifelong resident of Chana, died suddenly Monday, Aug. 14, 2017 in Rochelle Community Hospital. Born June 23, 1985 in Rochelle, the son of Stuart and Linda (Dwyer) Deuth.
Joey was a 2003 graduate of Oregon High School and had been employed at Ratworx in Mount Morris setting up online auctions. He was past Boy Scout, enjoyed guns and shooting and was a Life Member of the NRA.
Survived by his parents, Stu and Linda Deuth of Chana; maternal grandmother, Kathryn Dwyer of Chana; paternal grandparents, Lyle and Donna Deuth of Chana; brother, Dennis Deuth of Chana; sister, Theresa (David) Kienitz of Norfolk, Va.; niece, Muriel Kienitz; and several uncles, aunts and cousins.
Preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Harry “Butch” Dwyer.
A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, Aug. 19 at the Ogle County Farm Bureau, 421 W. Pines Road, Oregon beginning with a short service at 2 p.m. with Pastor David Rogula officiating. Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, Oregon assisted the family with arrangements. www.farrellhollandgale.com
