CHANA – Kevin D. Stienmetz, age 58, passed suddenly, Thursday, June 22, 2017 in Baraboo, Wis. He was born Nov. 17, 1958 in Rockford, the son of Gerald and Barbara (Carpenter) Stienmetz.
He graduated from Oregon High School in 1977. Kevin formerly worked 27 years for Price Brother’s in Rochelle and the past 9 years he worked for the Ogle County Highway Dept. He was known for always having a big smile and a story to tell. Kevin enjoyed his time on the river, having fish fry’s, going to tractor pulls, and antiquing. His distinctive laugh will truly be missed.
He was predeceased by his mother Barbara.
He is survived by his 4 children; Nick (Shaina) Stienmetz of Boise, Idaho, Tim Stienmetz of Boise Idaho, Stephanie Stienmetz of Sterling, and Derek Stienmetz of Chattanooga, Tenn., Fiancé Linda Morris of Chana, father Gerald (Judy) Stienmetz of Oregon, sister Kim (Tom) O’Brien of Paynes Point, 2 grandchildren Samson and Kaidence.
A visitation was Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 110 S. 7thStreet Oregon. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. A memorial fund is established in Kevin’s name.
