OREGON - Martin Douglas Jacobson, age 61, of Oregon passed away Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018. Born on July 15, 1956 in Rockford to Bernard and Lucille (Bloomquist) Jacobson.
Martin was employed for many years in the mechanic and assembly fields, most recently at Quad Graphics, Mount Morris. He enjoyed fishing, cutting wood, gardening and cooking. His passion was riding his Harley, built with the help of Freedom Road Custom Cycles. Beloved father, grandfather, lifelong partner, uncle and dear friend; he will remain in our hearts forever. He has left a hole in the hearts of many!
Martin is survived by son, Christopher Kingrey; daughter, Cassie Jean Maynard; partner and special friend forever, Marcee Maynard, dear friends, Michael Patrick Kingrey, Ron Anderson and Rich Koch; grandchildren, Kristopher, Kieren, Keagan, Kaelyn & Kaine Jacobson and Jazlyn Jeanne Maynard; Father figure to Brian Maynard and Jason Maynard; brothers, Bernard Jacobson and David Jacobson; and niece, Debbie.
He is predeceased by his parents, Bernard and Lucille Jacobson.
An outdoor Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation rites accorded. Memorials to the family. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
