OREGON – Phyllis A. VanDien, age 84, formerly of Stevens Point, Wis., died Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at the Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon. She was born April 25, 1933 in Madison, Wis., the daughter of Irvin and Harriett (Wright) Robinson.
She graduated from Madison Central High School. Phyllis married Lynn A. VanDien on Aug. 13, 1951 in Madison. They moved to Stevens Point in 1952 where they raised their family. Phyllis enjoyed arts and crafts including Rosemaling, sewing, needlepoint, building doll houses, baking and cooking.
She was predeceased by her husband Irvin, daughter Jill VanDien, 1 brother, and 3 sisters.
She is survived by her children; Robin (Neil) Minnis of Oregon, and Jeff (Karen) VanDien of Valrico, Fla., 5 grandchildren, and 6 Great Grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held at a later date in Stevens Point, Wis. A Memorial fund is established for the Serenity Hospice and Home. Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Homes is assisting the family.
