BYRON –Ronald Dean Henry, 55, of rural Oregon, died suddenly Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Mercy Health in Rockford. He was born July 2, 1961 in Rockford the son of Robert and Margaret (Mitchell) Henry.
He married Candye Drummer, his longtime love of 18 years, in Las Vegas on March 20, 2008. Ronald was an Army veteran and worked as a lineman for IBEW Local #196. He loved outdoor life and enjoyed animals and traveling. He was a family man and truly enjoyed his grandchildren. Ron made everyone around him happy and loved to make people laugh.
Survivors include his wife, Candye; daughters, Rebeka (Brent) Bauer and Lauren (Jordan) Auker both of Byron; sons, Josh (Alex) Henry of Portland, Ore., and Austin Henry of Oregon; grandchildren, Gabe, Alyssa, Alannah, Weston, Brooks, Grayson and Finnegan; sisters, Teresa (Ron) Heinen of Bay St. Louis, Miss., Jackie Jacobson of Stillman Valley, LaDonna Stoner of Rockford, and Debra Messer of Surprise, Ariz.; and brothers, Jim Henry and Dave (Aimee) Henry both of Byron.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Brenda Coggins.
Funeral services were Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 5 p.m. in the Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 506 W. Merchant St., Byron.  Visitation will be Saturday from 2 p.m. until service at 5 p.m.
