OREGON – The Oregon Park District has teamed up with Taft Campus to offer a luncheon and tour to the public.

Thousands of people visit Taft Campus each year. Yet, many that live close to it haven't been out for years or haven't visited at all. The campus is usually closed to the public but we have the perfect opportunity for you to visit this spring.

Join us Sunday, April 22 to explore and enjoy lunch. Taft will serve a homemade luncheon maple vinaigrette salad, grilled chicken breast, mushroom gravy, wild rice, egg noodles, vegetable medley, yeast rolls, hot bread pudding (dessert) and beverages. Lunch will be served at 2 p.m. A complimentary tour will be given by experienced Taft staff members following the luncheon. The cost for the luncheon and tour is $13 for residents and $15 for non-residents.

The park district will also offer other family-friendly activities such as crafts, games and music during the luncheon.

The campus will be open to participants to come as early as 1 p.m. to walk around the campus and stay open for participants until 6 p.m. to enjoy the scenery, hiking paths, buildings and more. Spend the whole afternoon with us or simply head out whenever you would prefer. Whatever you do, don't miss out on this experience!

Registration can be done by phone (815-732-3101), online via www.oregonpark.org or in person at Nash Recreation Center. Deadline to register for this unique experience is Wednesday,

April 18. We hope you will join us out there.
