OREGON – Willard (Bill) Armour, aged 89, formerly of Oregon, passed away on June 2, 2017 in Hillsboro, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife Jane Bergschmidt Armour.
Willard and Jane were residents of Texas for many years. Throughout the years, Bill and Jane enjoyed many trips to 49 of the 50 states in their Airstream RVs. They were charter members of the Airstream Land Yacht Harbor near Almond, Wis. and were very involved in its development. While living in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area, Bill and Jane were also active in the Tripoli Shiners' organization as well as the Wisconsin Airstream Unit.
Survivors of Willard and Jane are their three daughters: Sherry Steuck (Donn Lee) of Arpin, Wis., Rayne Armour of Lindenhurst, Wilma Jean Osgood (Scott) of Calabash, N.C.; grandchildren Timothy Steuck of Marshfield, Wis. and Randi Marie James of Olive Branch, Miss.; and great grandchildren TeJay Steuck, David Steuck and Ashlyn James.
There will be an interment service of Willard’s and Jane’s ashes at the Stillman Valley Cemetery in Stillman Valley, Illinois on Sunday July 23, 2017 at 1 p.m. Immediately following the interment service there will be a meal served at the Sunrise Restaurant in Byron. Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
