OREGON — The town of Oregon, along with people from nearby places and even far-off states, have come together in an inspiring show of support for Tracey Burke.

Burke, a single mom and nurse fighting stage four ovarian cancer, has seen incredible help come her way. This effort, which quickly raised over $5,000, was started by Tracey's sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carrie and Rob Tinsman, who used to live in Oregon but now are in Anthem, Arizona.

"I've got my positive, fighting attitude back,” Burke said. “I never realized that people out there care about me in this capacity. I am so grateful.”

Burke lost both of her parents in her 20s and has been raising her kids on her own as a single mom. She continues to work to provide for her family amid her cancer fight.

Burke was having trouble breathing one morning a few months ago, so she went to the ER. Fast forward a few days and several tests — the reason was stage four ovarian cancer that had moved to her lungs. Treatment has begun and she’s deep into chemo and has a big surgery coming up this month.

If you’d like to donate, or voice your support, an account has been set up at The Harvard State Bank. A GoFundMe has been established with a $10,000 goal. $5,747 had been raised as of March 12. The GoFundMe can be found at
