Deborah Kay Siebken, aged 72, passed away on December 9, 2023.

Born on a pleasant autumn day, September 15, 1951, in Rockford, Illinois, to John and Sadie Siebken, Deb's life was a beautiful blend of laughter, compassion, and a variety of interests.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Carrie Tinsman (Rob) of Anthem, Arizona; and Brett Burke of Daytona Beach, Florida; her daughter-in-law, Tracey Burke, of Oregon, Illinois, mother of her grandchildren; her adored grandchildren, Cole (Sarah) and Dylan Burke, of Oregon, Illinois; and her great-grandchild, Lane, born to Cole and Sarah.

Deb was well-known and admired for her infectious laughter, generosity, and positive spirit, qualities that left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Holding a master’s degree in nursing, Deb devoted 25 years to her career as an E.R. nurse, characterized by her heartfelt sincerity and the joy she brought to both patients and colleagues alike.

Her compassionate nature extended beyond her professional life, as she often contributed to charitable causes, particularly those related to animals, reflecting her deep love and concern for their welfare.

Deb's affection for warm climates led her to Phoenix, Arizona, where she continued to embrace life’s pleasures with nearby family and friends. She had a special fondness for dogs, enjoying the companionship and joy they brought into her life.

Deb had a special place in her heart for Door County, Wisconsin, where she cherished time spent with friends and the area’s beautiful scenic views. Her curiosity about the world was further satisfied through her appreciation for National Geographic magazine.

She loved watching sports and cheering for her favorite teams with close friends, especially with tortilla chips and guacamole or a bowl of popcorn. Another of her favorite foods was grilled salmon, and she considered it especially “tasty” when prepared by someone who knew what they were doing!

She loved playing card games and was a fierce Scrabble player. Known for her easygoing nature, Deb had a remarkable ability to make friends wherever she went, whether it was through shared interests or casual conversations.

She expressed great appreciation for those who helped provide care for her in her last days.

Preceded in death by her father, John Siebken, her mother, Sadie Siebken, and her brother-in-law, Ken, Deb is also survived by her loving sister, Marsha Nelson, of Wonder Lake, Illinois.

We love and miss you, especially your smile.
