Ogle County Sheriff’s Report: Feb. 21-22, 2024

OREGON — On Feb. 21 at approximately 8:45 a.m. Yulisa Regalado-Lopez, 25, of Rochelle turned herself in to the Ogle County Jail for an outstanding Ogle County warrant for cancelled, revoked or suspended registration. She appeared in court on Feb. 21 at 1 p.m. and was released on a recognizance bond.  Regalado-Lopez will return to court on April 8 at 9 a.m.

On Feb. 21 at approximately 11:15 a.m. deputies arrested Antonio Martinez, 31, of Rochelle at the Ogle County Courthouse. Martinez was arrested on an outstanding warrant for violation of an order of protection. No bond was set on the warrant, and he appeared in court on Feb. 21 at 1 p.m. Martinez remains in custody on no bond and will appear in court again on Feb. 28 at 10 a.m.

On Feb. 21 at approximately 8:43 p.m. deputies were advised of a violation of an order of protection that had just occurred within the city limits of Rochelle and near the intersection of Flagg Road and Queens Road. After investigation, deputies located the offender and his vehicle involved and conducted a traffic stop on it near the intersection of Flagg Road and 20th Street at approximately 8:49 p.m. After investigation, deputies placed Jerry Nantz, 53, of Rochelle under arrest for violation of an order of protection. Nantz was transported to the Ogle County Jail, where he was held pending a court appearance before a judge.

On Feb. 21 at approximately 1:49 p.m. Fabian J. Ruiz, 23, of Chicago Heights turned himself in on an outstanding Ogle County failure to appear warrant. Ruiz posted bond and was released with no return court date.

On Feb. 22 at approximately 12:30 p.m. deputies arrested Uredi Mulinga, 24, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the Ogle County Courthouse.  He was arrested on an outstanding warrant for speeding. Mulinga appeared in court and was released on a recognizance bond, and will return to court on April 8 at 9 a.m.

On Feb. 22 at approximately 3:09 p.m. deputies responded to the intersection of North Illinois Route 2 and Ashelford Drive in Byron for the report of a two-vehicle accident. After a further investigation, deputies learned that Taylor Winstead, 24 of Dixon, failed to reduce speed to avoid an accident and rear ended the vehicle attempting to turn onto Ashelford from Illinois Route 2. Both parties were cleared on medical refusals by Byron EMS and Winstead was cited for failure to reduce speed. The Ogle County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Byron EMS and the Byron Police Department.

All individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty.
