Oregon softball falls against Amboy
Oregon jumped ahead 4-0 but a late rally by Amboy took down the Hawks 6-4. Starter Emma Schlichtmann had six strikeouts and four walks. The Hawk bats loaded the bases late, but couldn't capitalize. Kaelin Shaffer, Abi Fletcher and Abree Barker all had two hits for Oregon. Brook Halverson struck out four in relief for Oregon. Oregon had nine hits to Amboy’s three.
Polo softball drops game against Orangeville/Freeport Aquin
The Polo High School softball team fell 12-7 against Orangeville/Freeport Aquin. Cheyenna Wilkins went 4-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI, while Sydnei Rahn singled twice and Cam Jones doubled with one RBI. Karlea Frey added two RBIs and Grace Miatke had one RBI.
