Angela Rose Marie (Salerno) Ghibellini

Angela Rose Marie (Salerno) Ghibellini passed away on Sept. 22, 2021 at Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home. She was born on Dec. 31st, 1937 in Rochester, N.Y., to Paul and Angela (Amoroso) Salerno. Angela graduated from North High School, Sheboygan, Wis., in 1955. After high school she graduated from Saint Anthony’s School of Nursing, Rockford, in May of 1958. Angela started working for Kable News Company on March 14, 1973 and was employed there for 23 years.

Angela married James Ghibellini Jr on June 7 1958 at St James Cathedral. They were happily married for 47 years.

Angela was a devout Christian and catholic and regularly attended St. Mary’s Church in Oregon. She stayed busy raising children and working full time. Angela’s hobbies included reading books, watching Lifetime movies, attending her nursing luncheons and coffee visits with her friends.

Angela is survived by her children; Jeanne Rowland, Mt Morris; Shari Arnold, (Aaron) Sparta, Wis.; Cindy Bergmann (Randy) Sparta, Wis.; Steve Ghibellini, Forreston; Christy Ghibellini (Bert), Mt Morris; her grandchildren; Erika Leis, Chad Zellers, Joshua Slater, Brittany Schroeder(Jason), Miranda Espinoza(Sergio), Shelby Arnold (Dan), Jonah Arnold(Keegen), Alyssa Ghibellini (Tim), Johna Rowland, Jordan and Alex Markle, Thad, Dan, Kate and Jeremy Rahn. Great grandchildren, Dominic, Angelina, Paul, Cameron, Landon, Leighton, Makyla, Caden, Mia, Liam, Luca, Alaina, Gabriel, Amelia, Oliver, Carter and Giselle.  Her Brothers; Michael (Linda) Salerno Sheboygan Wis., and Paul (Laurie) Salerno, New Berlin, Wis.; nieces, nephews and grand dog LT.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jim Ghibellini, daughter Kathy Davidson, Granddaughter Monica, her parents Angela and Paul Salerno and infant brother Anthony who died shortly after birth.

A funeral service was held at noon with a visitation from 11 a.m. until service time on Saturday, Oct. 2 in Finch Funeral Home, 405 E Hitt St., Mt. Morris, IL with Father Joseph Naill officiating.

Burial followed the funeral in Plainview Cemetery and a luncheon will be held at Mt. Morris Moose Lodge following the burial, from 1-4 p.m.
