STILLMAN VALLEy – Bernice H. Nass “Grandma B”, age 84, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018 at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon. She was born Aug. 30, 1933 in Ashton, the daughter of Earl and Fern “Robinson” Sanders.
She married Wayne Nass on Sept. 3, 1948 in Dixon. Bernice loved spending time with her family. She loved playing cards with friends, and liked to dance and bake for her family. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lindenwood.
She was predeceased by her parents and husband Wayne.
She is survived by her daughter Marlene Nass of Sandwich, brother Wayne Sanders of Rochelle, grandchildren Gary (Jackie) Nass, Damian Montanez, and Jessica Montanez, 5 great grandchildren Destiny, Arshauna, Eva, Wyatt, and Nolan, her sister-in-law Donna Nass, special longtime friend Shorty Schumacher and his daughter Brenda (Mike) Adams, their children; Jaime (Brook) Adams, and Julie (Justin) Miller, and Shorty’s great grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Nolan, Tyanne, Jason, and Ellie and also special friends Della and John Ehmen, Jr.
Funeral service was at 11 a.m., Monday, Aug. 27, 2018 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lindenwood with the Rev. Dr. Matthew Rosebrock pastor of the church officiating. Visitation was be from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018 at the Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 136 W. Roosevelt Rd., Stillman Valley, IL 61084. Burial at the Ashton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is established for the Serenity Hospice and Home or the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lindenwood.
