Beverly J. Butterfield

OREGON – Beverly J. Butterfield, age 79, went to be with the Lord her Savior on Friday, Dec. 15, 2017 at her home in Oregon. She was born Jan. 25, 1938 in Terre Haute, Ind., the daughter of William and Pauline (Gomolisky) Bahr. 

She worked for 48 years as a waitress at various restaurants. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oregon.

Beverly was predeceased by her parents and 2 grandsons: Jason McCaslin and Thomas Jackson.  Beverly will be lovingly remembered by her children Rhonda (Linda) King, Kimberly Jackson, Ernie (Kathy) Kirby, Paula (Scott) Sanders, and Jill (Brian) Schultz.  Beverly will also be fondly remembered by her eleven grandchildren: Eric Jackson (Carissa James), Kaitlyn (Michael) Benters, Boyan and Rusko Kirby, Shayn (Kelsey) Sanders, Averi, Madeline and McCahl Sanders, Auggie, Braxton and Bella Schultz and two great grandchildren Penelope Benters and Carter Sanders, a loving brother Larry Bahr, and loving sister Vicki Tripp.  She was also be missed by her fur baby Nekko. 

A funeral service in memory of Beverly was 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 18, 2017 at the First Baptist Church, 505 Hill Street in Oregon, with the Pastor Jared Cochran officiating. Visitation was prior to the service at the church from 10-11 a.m. Burial took place at the Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery on South Pecatonica Road in Seward. 

Beverly’s family would especially like to thank Traci and all the staff of Northern Illinois Hospice and all the caregivers that provided Beverly with comfort and care.
