OREGON – Blanche A. Schroeder, 100, of Oregon, died Thursday, May 3, 2018 in Oregon Living & Rehabilitation Center. Born Oct. 7, 1917 in Hanover, the daughter of Glenn and Theresa (Hecklemiller) Gilbert.

Married to Theodore Schroeder February 16, 1945 in Rockford; he died Nov. 27, 2000. Blanche was employed as a crew head at Sinnissippi Forest in Oregon for 20 years and at Midway Bakery in Rockford 10 years. She was a member of All Saints' Lutheran Church of Byron where she had served on the Altar Guild.

Survived by son, Arlin (Joyce) Huston of Auburn; daughter, Janan (Skip) Gooch of Oregon; step-son, Ronald (Jean) Schroeder of Show Low, Aria.; step-daughter, Marilyn (Bernard) Gustafson of Belvidere; 20 grandchildren; and many great and great-great grandchildren.

Also predeceased by step-son Glen Schroeder, a sister and 5 brothers.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. May 7 in Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, Oregon preceded by a visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Pastor Janet Wold of All Saint's Lutheran Church, Byron officiated. Burial in Daysville Cemetery, rural Oregon. A memorial fund has been established.
