Bobby G. Holder

STILLMAN VALLEY – Bobby G. Holder, age 81, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017 at his home near Stillman Valley surrounded by his loving family. He was born Dec. 12, 1935 in Hoxie, Ark., the son of Will Henry and Leona Afton (Spargo) Holder.
He attended Hoxie, Arkansas and Rockford schools. He married Margaret Kildow on July 17, 1954 in Rockford. Bobby was a Class “A” Tool and Die maker who worked 18 years for National Lock and than 10 years for Eaton Corporation. He had a strong work ethic so after retirement he would buy, restore and resell houses and cabins in the north woods. In the past 24 years he restored over 50 homes.  He loved to spend time with his family and loved spoiling his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He loved to fish, boat and spend time at their lake house.
He is survived by his loving wife Margaret of 63 years, 3 children; Alan Ray (Deb) Holder, Randy Will Holder, and Michel Ann (Don) Maroney, grandchildren; Sarah (Shawn), Rayanna(Patric), Brent, Rachel (Jameson), Hannah, Hailey, Chris, Jennifer (Brandon), great grandchildren; Kaylyn, Austin, Makenna, Emmery, Dayton, Dennon, Brooklyn, Mason, Macie Grace, Bailey, and Layla, brother William “Billy” Holder (companion Madeline), Sister Shirley Stults, Sister-in-laws Betty and Beverly Holder, step father-in-law James Drew, many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, father-in-law, mother-in-law, sisters Imogene (Jack) Spain,  Brenda (Gary) Bankes, brothers Lehman (Clarice) Holder, Lonnie Holder, Ray (Geneva) Holder, sister-in-law Jean Holder, and brother-in-law Jim Stults.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, Sept. 18, 2017 at the Calvary Baptist Church, 6286 Linden Rd., Rockford, with the Pastor Mike Killian officiating. Burial will be in the Kishwaukee Cemetery near Stillman Valley. Visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017 from 4-6 p.m. at the Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 136 W. Roosevelt Rd, Stillman Valley.
