BYRON — The Byron High School co-op boys swimming and diving team faced Belvidere co-op on Thursday, Feb. 25. The Tigers edged the Bucs by a score of 85-84 in the varsity meet.
The Byron 200-yard medley relay team of Levi Schamper, Nathan Bell, Carson Faley and Tyson Politsch won with a time of 1:45.05. Adam Goelitz won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:57.34 and Bell won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:10.68. Politsch won the 50-yard freestyle in 23.51 seconds and Schamper won the 100-yard butterfly in 57.31 seconds.
Faley won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 51.27 and Goelitz won the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:17.15. Faley won the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 57.03 and Politsch won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:04.00. Byron’s 400-yard freestyle relay team of Faley, Nolan Stoll, Goelitz and Politsch won with a time of 3:35.60.
