BYRON – On the second Saturday in November, and December 2019 the Byron Museum of History is hosting an indoor market from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Visit the indoor market on Nov. 9, and Dec. 14 for unique gifts and tasty treats. Museum and Indoor Market admission is always free.
Many of the vendors are at the Sunshine Park Farmer’s Market during the summer, providing homegrown produce, handmade gifts, baked goods, and all natural body care. Ruth Rocky Johnson will be back in November with her handmade caramels and toffee. Clarene Moser will be selling her pies, David Ewald’s homegrown popcorn is a must, and don’t forget your Greeting Cards by Pat. Get your pumpkins, brunch supplies, and an early start on your holiday shopping.
Local artisans such as Andy Jackson Woodcrafts, Barefoot Books & Gifts, Bechard’s Botanicals, Equal Exchange Coffee, Tea & Cocoa, Ewe & Me Acres, Gems of the Earth, Hough’s Maple Lane Farms, Jen’s Artisan Breads, Jewelry Creations by Ruth, Taskitory, St. Vincent de Paul of Byron, and Young Living Essential Oils will be onsite along with many others that have registered for Second Saturdays this fall.
The Museum will also host Indoor Market vendors on the second Saturday of March, April, and May 2020. Learn more and “like” on Facebook.
In other news, registration is now open for the Festival of Trees. The Byron Museum will host Festival of Trees on Friday, Dec. 6 from 6-8:30 p.m. and we invite you to come see the trees.
The Byron Museum of History, in conjunction with the Byron Chamber of Commerce’s Miracle on Second Street, invites businesses, civic organizations, churches, and other groups to bring in artificial trees and decorate them with adornments of their choice. This is an opportunity to share information about your organization, advertise an upcoming event, or promote your business. Set up begins Nov. 20.
The Byron Museum of History is dedicated to preserving the Byron area’s rich history through exhibits, programs, and artifact preservation. The Museum Complex consists of a large exhibit hall with varied displays and encompasses the historic Read House – which is a listed site on the National Park Service Underground Railroad Network to Freedom.
