OREGON – The Saint Gregory Children’s Choir from Church of the Holy Spirit in Lake Forest, Illinois will be singing at Saint Bride’s Episcopal Church on Sunday, Sept. 9 at the 10 a.m. service.

Saint Bride’s is located at 1000 Route 64 West in Oregon.

All are welcome to join us and our new priest, Rev. Eldred George, to enjoy the beautiful voices of the choir. The choir has shared their music with Saint Bride’s annually since 1990 as part of their retreat weekend at Stronghold.

St. Gregory's Choir is for boys and girls aged 8 to 13. The Royal School of Church Music training scheme for choristers is used in teaching members about music, singing, service, and worship leadership. The highly respected music program is under the direction of organist/choirmaster Patrick Godon.

Godon served as Director of Liturgy and Music at St. Gregory the Great Church in Chicago for 15 years. He earned his Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance in 2001 and his Master of Music degree in piano performance in 2003, both from DePaul University. He is also Acting Principal Keyboardist for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Music Director of the Tower Chorale of Western Springs, and serves as Artistic Director of the International Chamber Artists.
