BYRON – The United Church of Byron is offering free weekly drive-through meals for the community on Tuesdays during the month of April, from 5:30-6:30 pm.
This is held as a drive-through service, and meals are delivered to your car. The meals are free, but donations will also be accepted. Meals will be offered to everyone on a first come, first serve basis until the food is gone. All meals will include sides (veggies, salad, and/or fruit and dessert). The menu for the month of April is April 20: Hot dogs; April 27: Chili.
Reservations are not required, but if you would like to reserve a meal, please call the church office at 815-234-8777 by noon on the preceding Monday. The church is located at 701 West Second St., just south of Mary Morgan Elementary School. To pick up a meal, please enter the church driveway via Second Street and pull up at the marked designated area, and then exit onto Colfax/Tower. All are invited to take advantage of this new ministry of our church.
