ROCHELLE – Donald S. Marsh, 59, lifelong Rochelle area resident, died Monday, March 5, 2018 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford. Born May 13, 1958 in Rochelle, the son of Arthur and Verva (Ehmen) Marsh.
Donald was employed as a heavy equipment operator and welder with union local #150 and also as a professional rodeo cowboy. He enjoyed riding and roping, shooting guns and hunting.
Survived by sons, Cole (Ashley) Marsh of Rockford and Jeremy (Rhonda) Fager of Stillman Valley; daughters, Cindall (Alex) Rachner of Rhome, Texas and Michelle (Anthony) Rogers of Stillman Valley; grandchildren: Dayton and Heaven Marsh, Braden and Alyse Rogers and Ida and Ada Fager; sister, Jane (Gary) Priemer of Marietta, Ga.; former wife, Karen Marsh of Stillman Valley; and close friends: the Casey, Thuestad, Myers, Reeds and Lockert families.
Predeceased by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in Donald's name to The Boy Scouts of America. Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, Oregon assisted the family.
