BYRON – Duncan Wade Typer of Byron passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at the age of 59. He was born Aug. 11, 1959 in Rockford the son of Theodore and Nancy (DeFouw) Typer.

Duncan graduated from Stillman Valley High School in 1977 and attended Lincoln Technical Collage in Des Moines, Iowa. He lost his wife Elizabeth Typer on June 24, 2017 but his immense love for his 3 granddaughters (Taqwa, Sakeena, and Halena) kept him going as well as his joy of riding his Harley on the weekends with his friends. He was very much loved and will be missed.

He is survived by his children, Randyn Typer of Wisconsin, Katie (Shadly) Diab of Mt. Prospect, and Monty (Celeste) Typer of Byron; Siblings Theodora (Gary) Hampton of Colorado, Martin (Dawn) Typer of Stillman Valley, Stuart (Tina) Typer of Byron, 3 granddaughters and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation was held from noon-2:30 p,m. Friday, April 12, 2019 at Farrell Holland Gale Funeral Home 506 West Merchant Street in Byron. Graveside service will be 3:30 p.m. at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Amboy with the Pastor Randy Snider officiating. Duncan will be buried next to his wife Elizabeth.
