Ebenezer Reformed Church gets new minister

OREGON – Rev. Josiah Youngquist has been officially installed as the new Minister at the Ebenezer Reformed Church in Oregon. 

The installation service which was held on Sept. 15, was sponsored by the Illinois Classis of the Reformed Church of America (RCA).  Rev. Elizabeth Vander Haagen, from Youngquist 's home church in Grand Rapids, Mich., provided the scripture reading and sermon for the service. Also in attendance were several Pastors from area RCA Churches, members of Rev. Youngquist's family, and the Congregation of the Ebenezer Reformed Church. A cake reception followed the service.

Rev. Youngquist graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 2014, with a Bachelor of Arts degree, and then attended Calvin Theological Seminary, where he earned a Master of Divinity degree in 2018. This is Rev. Youngquist's first church as a Senior Pastor. He will reside in the parsonage with his wife Emma and their dog Cooper.
