Edith (Gilbert) Singley

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt passed away peacefully with her baby sister holding her hand on Sunday, Dec. 25 at Serenity Hospice Home in Oregon.

Born Jan. 16, 1947 the daughter of Orville & Marcella Gilbert. Edie as she preferred to be called was a homemaker with cooking skills closest to her mother, was our original non-internet “Facebook,” keeping up with what everyone was doing by landline phone, many thought she was “nosey” when she liked being first to know and pass on any news, because she cared. Edie enjoyed time with family, Gilbert gatherings and especially pushing buttons on slot machines – Casinos meant her special pleasure.

She is survived by her husband Tim, two sons Dean Gilbert and Joe Kane, two stepsons Klint (Angel) & Brett Singley, two much-loved sisters Viola Phillips and LaVonne Taylor, grandchildren Amanda, JD, Ariel, Zak and their children, step grandchildren Anthony & Caitlyn, 44 precious Gilbert nieces and nephews plus many greats.

Edie was predeceased by two children Kenny & Carrie; her parents, three brothers and six sisters.

A memorial is being planned.

Our family circle is broken, but as God calls us one by one the circle will be unbroken again!

Edie wouldn’t say goodbye, it was “love you see ya!”
