First Fridays during AOP

Posted

OREGON – It might be Autumn on Parade in Oregon, but there will be a First Fridays music event in Mount Morris on Oct. 5.

It will be held at 7 p.m. at the Mount Morris Moose Family Center (MMMFC).

Musicians will draw for time slots at 6:30 p.m. and performances will begin at 7 p.m. and continue until all musicians, even late arrivals, have had their turn on stage. A jam session will follow until it is time for the traditional closing with Will the Circle Be Unbroken.

The musical styles vary widely including country, bluegrass, folk, blues, light rock, and eclectic blending of multiple genres. The musicians will be supported by a professional sound system engineered by Kent Anders.

Music fans are encouraged to arrive hungry and thirsty as the Mount Morris Moose Club is highly regarded for its food and beverage service.

Be sure to mark Oct. 5 on your calendar to be part of a new chapter in the 18-year history of First Fridays.
