First Fridays music in Mount Morris

Posted

MOUNT MORRIS – Stealing a phrase from the weatherman, March winds are going to blow First Fridays back to the Mount Morris Moose Family Center, 485 E Hitt St., for the popular open stage music show and a good time is assured for all on March 1.

Musicians will draw for time slots at 6:30 p.m. and performances will begin at 7 p.m. and continue until all musicians, even late arrivals, have had their turn on stage. A jam session will follow until it is time for the traditional closing with Will the Circle Be Unbroken.

The musical styles vary widely including country, bluegrass, folk, blues, light rock, and eclectic blending of multiple genres.  The musicians will be supported by a professional sound system engineered by Mike Bratt.

Music fans are encouraged to arrive hungry and thirsty as the Mt. Morris Moose Club is highly regarded for its food and beverage service.

Be sure to mark March 1st on your calendar to be part of a new chapter in the 18-year history of First Fridays.
