FORRESTON – Eight students were recently inducted into the Forreston High School Chapter of National Honor Society.
This year's inductees are: Jakob Boomgarden, Abigail Derrer, James DeWall, Ethan Greenfield, Mya Greenfield, Cora Krigbaum, Bailey Miller and Madison Sketo.
In order for students to be chosen, they must have a GPA of 3.6 or higher and also complete an application that includes either their resume or a personal essay. Their application materials are reviewed and assessed by the selection committee consisting of five faculty members. Those students whose total scores meet the criteria are accepted into National Honor Society.
Their acceptance and membership are based upon excellence in scholarship, leadership, service and character. NHS students are required to set an example in each of these areas while they are members.
