FORRESTON — Forreston Grade School fifth grade Students Allison Moore and Lucy Schneiderman were recently named the winners of the Illinois Principals Association’s Leadership Award. Lucy is the daughter of Jonathan and Laurie Schneiderman of German Valley. Allison is the daughter of Chris and Dr. April Moore of Baileyville.

Forreston Junior Senior High School eighth grade students Jillian Moore and Daylen Rahn along with seniors Brock Smith and Madyson Schoonhoven were also named winners of IPA’s Leadership Award. Jillian is the daughter of Chris and Dr. April Moore of Baileyville and Daylen is the son of Brian and Amanda Rahn of German Valley. Brock is the son of Brent and Sheri Smith of German Valley and Madyson is the daughter of Scott and Amy Schoonhoven of German Valley. 

Students were selected by the faculty of FGS and FJSHS for displaying leadership, character and achievement daily. Winners attended a brunch at the Dixon Elks Club sponsored by the Northwest Illinois Principals Association. Retired Dixon High School Principal Dr. Michael Grady was the keynote speaker.
