Oregon – Hazel Jane Taylor, age 80, died Friday, March 27, 2020 at her home near Oregon. She was born Feb. 12, 1940 in Dixon, the daughter of Arthur A. and Blanch L. (Withey) Allen.
She graduated from Amboy High School in 1958. Hazel married Gerald “Frank” Taylor, Jr. on Feb. 3, 1958 in Mt. Morris. Hazel loved gardening, watching all types of sports, especially NASCAR and the Chicago Cubs. She liked to go to garage sales, and liked to read, especially westerns, biographies, and history.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Frank, daughter Shirley Arbogast, and grandson Colin Marciniak.
She is survived by her children Richard Taylor of Sterling, Jerry Taylor of Oregon, James Taylor of Oregon and Brenda (Harley) Metheny of Mt. Morris, 5 grandchildren; Britt (Niccole) Taylor, Benjamin Taylor, Adam Marciniak, Clayton Metheny, and Angela (Jeremy) Jones, 2 great grandchildren Madison and Olivia.
