VHANTIS, TAMAULIPAS, Mexico — Jesse Torres, 76, formerly of Rochelle, passed away Aug. 28, 2020 in Vhantis, Tamaulipas, Mexico.
Jesse was born Sept. 29, 1943 in Santa Marie Del Rio, San Luis Potosi, Mexico, to Gregorio Torres and Brigida Menchaca. Jesse came to Rochelle in the mid-1970s; he worked at Caron International.
He is survived by sisters, Zocorra Torres Menchaca, of Texas, Maria Torres Menchaca and Castula Torres Menchaca, and a brother, Tacho Torres Menchaca, all of Mexico, and a brother, Hermilo Torres of Rochelle.
He is also survived by his children, Jesus (Olga) Torres Martinez and Rodrigo (Guadalupe) Torres Martinez of San Luis Potosi, Mexico, as well as Susie (Corey) Kreider of Rochelle, Vicki (Alex Campos) Torres of Rochelle, Gregory (Yolonda) Torres of Stillman Valley and Jesse (Kristina) Torres of Rochelle. He is survived by nine grandchildren, Oscar Torres, Rocio Torres, Leticia Alejandra Torres, Josue Torres, Alexander Torres, Jordan Torres, Andrew Torres, Taylor Kreider and Trent Kreider. He also had one great-grandson, Mateo Torres, and several nieces and nephews.
Services and burial were held the same day in Mexico, as his death was due to COVID-19.
