OREGON – John P. Weber, age 83, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019 at the Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon. He was born Nov. 25, 1935 in Wilmette, the son of John B. and Ethel (Sickinger) Weber.
John graduated in 1954 from New Trier High School in Winnetka. He served his country in the U.S. Marines. John married Patricia M. Shields on Feb. 22, 1957. John worked for the City of Wilmette as the Water plant Supervisor for 34 years retiring in 1995. He also worked for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a former Cub Scout leader for his sons. John enjoyed wood working and gardening.
He was predeceased by his parents and sister Ann Henry.
He is survived by his wife of almost 62 years Patricia, 5 children; Deborah (Steven) Simon of Carpentersville, John B. (Ruth) Weber of Hampshire, Cynthia Sanchez of Aurora, Douglas R. (Nancy) Weber of Leaf River., and Eric P. Weber of Oregon, sister Charlotte (Eunus) Vocate of Idaho, 6 grandchildren; Sabrina, John Paul, Matthew, Jennifer, Melissa, and Stephanie, 2 great grandchildren Ben and Greyson.
A memorial Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019 at the Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 110 South 7th St., Oregon. A memorial fund is established for the Serenity Hospice and Home. To leave a condolence visit www.farrellhollandgale.com.
