OREGON – Karen E. Rosenbalm, 64, 20-year resident of Oregon. passed peacefully in her home on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Born April 1, 1954 in Chicago, the daughter of Norris and Ada (Duck) Davis.
Married to Daniel Rosenbalm Oct. 12, 1990 in Sycamore. Karen enjoyed and spent many days driving around "junking" with Dan. She loved time with her grandchildren, flowers, gardening, humming birds, and cooking and baking.
Survived by her husband, Dan Rosenbalm of Oregon; daughter, Wendy (Rob) Smice of Oregon; step-daughters, Brenda Rosenbalm of Forreston and Janie Ervin of Herrin; step-sons, Danny Rosenbalm and Brian Rosenbalm, both of Oregon; and grandchildren: Stephanie Wheeler, Jessica Stone, Kelsey Smice, Angel-Lee Stone, Desiree Gilbert, Bristol Rosenbalm, Ethan Smice, Chayse Rosenbalm and Emersyn Smice.
Predeceased by her parents; son, James Stone; daughter, Kelley Stone; and mother-in-law, Louise Hartle.
Funeral services were held at noon Saturday, Sept. 8 in Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, Oregon preceded by a visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Rev. Danny Bentz of Northside Baptist Church, Dixon officiated. Memorials may be directed to the family.
