LEAF RIVER – COUNTRY Financial Representative Richard Montavon is pleased to announce Leaf River Fire Protection District as a 2020 recipient of a COUNTRY Financial Operation Helping Heroes donation.

Montavon presented the donation for $1,500 to Leaf River Fire Protection District on Wednesday, May 13, to assist with the purchase of training materials and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

“As I work in this small community, I have often seen the selfless acts that go on unnoticed by the People of the Leaf Rive Fire Department,” Montavon said. “This donation is one way of giving back to these volunteers and honoring their dedication to our community. I appreciate all they do to keep us safe.”

COUNTRY Financial recently tripled its initial pledge to its Operation Helping Heroes program and will now donate more than $3 million in 2020 to organizations and programs that support first responders and active duty service members, supporting the company’s vision to “enrich lives in the communities we serve.”

The Operation Helping Heroes program was created in 2015 to support non-profit events and programs that benefit active duty service members, veterans and their families.  In 2019, COUNTRY Financial expanded the program and donated $700,000 to approximately 500 first responder and military organizations.
