Local band to play Jamboree

Posted

MOUNT MORRIS – On Friday night, June 29, local band, Pablo and the Rhythmix will return to the Mount Morris Jamboree, playing a free concert on the band shell from 7-9 p.m.

Pablo and the Rhythmix is a high-energy, one of a kind show band. They keep the audience on their toes, making them wonder what the band will play, or do, next. Their set list includes a wide variety of dance music from the 1950's to today's top hits on the radio. Known for their entertaining shenanigans, silly props, and audience participation, Pablo and the Rhythmix is a must-see show.

Starting at 6 pm the Mount Morris Firefighter's Association will be serving walking tacos with all the trimmings, too many to list, drinks will include Pepsi products, water, and Berryview Orchard's famous Aronia Berry Lemonade smoothies. All profits stay in Mount Morris and benefit the Firefighter's Association, which has been a part of Mt. Morris since 1889.

The Encore Old Sandstone Art Gallery next door will continue to show artwork from students in the Oregon/Mount Morris School district, open from 6-9:30 p.m. Several other food and craft vendors will likely be on site, as well, including Jen's Artisan Breads, featuring many different varieties of delicious fresh baked bread and Pecatonica River Honey, with raw, natural, locally sourced honey. Barker Brew will likely be there to serve a variety of iced coffees as well.

The whole evening kicks off with the Mount Morris Community Farmer's Market, located at the corner of Rt. 64 and Wesley Ave. from 4-7 p.m. every Friday through October. Come join the fun on our beautiful, historic campus in the center of Mount Morris, two blocks south of Rt. 64 on Wesley Ave. In the event of rain, the whole show is moved to the Mount Morris Moose at 101 Moose Dr., starting at the same times.
