LOVES PARK – Lonnie R. Schelling, 62, of Loves Park and formerly of Leaf River, died Thursday, April 26, 2018 in UW Madison Hospital. Born Sept. 2, 1955 in Rockford, the son of Arnold and Myrna (Reed) Schelling.
Lonnie was a 1973 graduate of Leaf River High School and was a self-employed electrician for the past 18 years. He enjoyed yard work and loved spending time with family and friends.
Survived by his father, Arnie (Jane McNames) Schelling of Leaf River; mother, Myrna Schelling of Rockford; son, Brian (Amie) Schelling of Leaf River; and brothers, Jerry (Wanda) Schelling of Little Elm, Texas and Ron (Lori) Schelling of Plainfield.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 1 in Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, Byron with Pastor Jane Eesley of Christ United Methodist Church, Rockford officiating. Burial in Silver Creek Cemetery, rural Leaf River. Visitation Monday 5-8 p.m. in the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established.
