OREGON – Loving Mother and Grandmother, Mary Alice Davison, age 74, died Monday, July 8, 2019 at the Serenity Hospice and Home. She was born Dec. 11, 1944 in Los Angeles, Calif., the daughter of Jack and Nina (Nelson) Batten.
She married Orvis Allen “Junior” Davison, Jr. on Oct. 12, 1962 in Dallas, Texas. He preceded her on June 16, 1997. Mary worked over 30 years at the Lorado Taft Field Campus as a cook. She loved to spend time in her flower gardens, feed and watch the humming birds come and go, play with her dogs. Mary was a great cook, especially her home baked cinnamon rolls, which she would generously share.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Junior, her half-brothers; Sonny, Buddy, and Jack, and a lifelong friend Carolyn Saratori.
Mary is survived by her 3 children; Tracy Andrew Davison of Juda, Wis., Amy Jo (Paul) Gillingham of Oregon, and Adam Allen Davison of Oregon, 2 granddaughters Jessica Davison and Lily Gillingham.
Funeral service was 3 p.m., Friday, July 12, 2019 at the Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 110 S. 7th St., Oregon, with the Pastor Dave Rogula officiating. A visitation was prior to the service from 1-3 p.m. Burial took place at a later date at the Washington Grove Cemetery. A memorial fund is established in Mary’s name.
