The following people were arrested for Ogle County Outstanding Warrants:
Thomas Minton, 36, of Rockford for an outstanding Ogle County Failure to Appear Warrant. Minton had a bond of $1,735. Minton posted bond and was released from the Ogle County Jail with no return court date.
Juan Olguin, 37, of Rochelle for an outstanding Ogle County Failure to Appear Warrant as well as a Petition to Revoke. Olguin had a bond of $5,000/10% and $666 Full Cash. Olguin did not post bond and will appear in court on 1/8/20 at 12:30 p.m.
Matthew Marsili, 48, of Cherry Valley for an outstanding Ogle County Failure to Appear Warrant. Marsili had a bond of $1,000. Marsili did not post bond and will appear in court on 1/8/20 at 1 p.m.
At approximately 12:30 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the intersection of Hedge Road and Water Road in Byron for a one vehicle accident. After an investigation it was determined that a 2015 Ford F150 pickup being driven by Claude Yoakum, 60 of Byron, was traveling on Hedge Road toward Water Road. Yoakum's vehicle crossed Water Road, at a slow speed, and struck a tree where the vehicle stopped. Yoakum was transported to Swedish American Hospital by Byron EMS personnel. Yoakum's condition is not known at the time of his release.
Jan. 7 a
At 8:42 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on I-88 mile marker 75 west bound on a 2003 Toyota for an equipment violation. After a short investigation Deputies arrested Ronald Jason Santiago, 47 of Davenport, Iowa., for Driving While License Suspended. Santiago was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
Jan. 6
At 10:44 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop on I-39 at mile marker 108 north bound for a traffic violation. After an investigation, Marco Almonaci-Vera, 50 of Rockford, was arrested for No Valid Driver's License. Almonaci-Vera was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
At 10:24 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 11000 block of West Illinois Rte 64 for a traffic violation. After an investigation Alexandria Stover, 22 of Polo, and Brandon Hitchcock, 24 of Oregon, were arrested for Improper Container of Cannabis. Stover and Hitchcock were transported to the Ogle County Jail where they were held in lieu of bond.
At approximately 8:43 a.m. Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies performed a traffic stop near the intersection of Town Line Road and IL Rte. 2. After investigation, Deputies placed Cody Lorenzen, 28 of Dixon under arrest for Driving While License Suspended. Lorenzen was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
Jan. 5
Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies arrested James Watkins, 26, of Rockford for Driving While License Suspended. Watkins was arrested by Deputies on I-39 after being stopped for speeding. Watkins was held in lieu of bond at the Ogle County Jail.
Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Thomas Lyons, 42, of Rockford for Driving While License Revoked. Lyons was arrested by Deputies on I-39 after being stopped for speeding. Lyons was held in lieu of bond at the Ogle County Jail.
Jan. 4
Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Tony Coleman, 22, of Chicago for Driving While License Suspended and for an outstanding Whiteside County Failure to Appear Warrant. Coleman was arrested by deputies on I-88 near Rochelle after being stopped for speeding. A passenger in the vehicle Ronald Bryant, 22, also of Chicago was arrested for an outstanding Whiteside County Failure to Appear Warrant. Both Coleman and Bryant are being held at the Ogle County Correctional Center in lieu of bond.
Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop at IL Rte 64 and IL Rte 26. After a brief investigation Deputies arrested Christine Starkweather, 55, of Hanover for No Valid Drivers License. Starkweather was then transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held in lieu of bond.
Jan. 3
At approximately 7 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the 10,000 block of North Illinois Rte. 2 for a one vehicle roll-over accident. After an investigation it was determined that a 2018 Hyundai Elantra being driven by Bradley R. Benhoff, 62, of Rockford, was northbound when he drove off of the roadway. The Hyundai struck a tree nad rolled onto the passengers side. Benhoff was extricated from the vehicle by Byron Fire Personnel and transported to Swedish American Hospital for influence of alcohol and illegal transportaion of alcohol. he was issued citations and given an I-Bond at the hospital. Benhoff is due to appear in Ogle County Court at a later date.
Jan. 2
At 10:24 p.m. Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop on I39 at mile marker 104, as a result of this stop Deputies arrested Gregory Williams, 22, of Rockford for Driving While License Suspended and cited him for driving without valid insurance. Williams was transported to the Ogle County Jail and is held in lieu of bond.
