The following were arrested for Ogle County Outstanding Warrants:

Duane Leonard, 52, of Rockford for Failure to Appear warrant. Leonard had a bond of $1673.75 and went to court. The judge gave Leonard a $400 bond. Leonard posted bond and was released from the Ogle County Jail. Leonard will have to return for court on 11/30/20 at 9 am.

Kamal Abdallah, 46, of Dekalb for Failure to Appear. Abdallah had a bond of $8762.14 and went to court. The judge gave Abdallah a $100 bond and Abdallah posted bond. Abdallah was released from the Ogle County Jail and will return to court on 10/26/20 at 9 am.

Oct. 3

At approximately 2:11 PM Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the intersection of Allen and Second Streets in Holcomb for a property damage accident.  After investigation, Deputies placed Jeremy Probasco, 32 of Holcomb under arrest for Driving While License Revoked.  Probasco was additionally issued citations for Failure to Yield, Expired Registration, and Operating an Uninsured Vehicle.  Probasco was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond. 

At 12:27 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 19000 block of East Illinois Route 64 for an Equipment Violation. After an investigation, Malcom Mcneal, 37 of Rockford, was arrested for Driving on a Revoked License. Mcneal was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.

Oct. 2

At approximately 11:55 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 6000 block of North Illinois Route 2. After investigation Deputies arrested Robert Curatola II, 33 of Oregon for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.  Curatola II also received citations for Equipment Violation and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.  Curatola II was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was released to correctional staff and held in lieu of bond.

Oct. 1

Jacob A. Haws, 34, of Rockford was arrested on a for Failure to Appear warrant. Haws had a bond of $2,625.50. Haws was able to post the $2,625.50 and was released from jail.

At 6:12 p.m. Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies responded to Illinois Rte. 64 and Illinois Rte 26 for a School Bus Crash.  It was determined that an East Dubuque School District Bus driven by Melvin Ehrler, 74, of East Dubuque was traveling West on Illinois Rte 64 and failed to stop at the stop sign at Illinois Rte. 26.  The Bus traveled approximately 423 feet into a grass field and came to a stop.  11 minors were on the Bus at the time of the crash and three were transported to area hospitals for minor injuries.  Ehrler was issued citations for Disregarding a Traffic Control Device, and Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident. Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies were assisted at the scene by Polo Fire and Ambulance, Oregon Ambulance, Dixon Rural Ambulance, Mt. Morris Fire and Ambulance, Forreston Ambulance and the Illinois State Police.  The Crash will remain under investigation.

Sept. 30

Daniel Rice, 40, of Muscatine, Iowa was arrested on a Driving while License Suspended Warrant. Rice has a bond of $3000/10 percent. Rice will see the judge on 09/30/20 at 1 pm. Rice remains in the Ogle County Jail.

Sept. 29

At 6:07 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to the 6000 block of S. Sarah Ave. Rochelle for the report of a disturbance. After an investigation, Corey Carter, 36 of Steward, was arrested for Battery. Carter was released from the scene on an I-Bond and will appear in court at a later date.


Sept. 28

Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop on in the 1300 block of Pines Road after learning the vehicle was possibly involved in domestic dispute. After investigation, Deputies placed Robert Coldren, 34 of Polo under arrest for Driving While License Revoked.  Coldren was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond. 

Sept. 27

Aty approximately 12:23 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop at E IL Rte 72 at Kishwaukee Rd. After a brief investigation, Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Justin M. Gates, 25 of Kingston, for DUI-Alcohol.  Gates was also cited for Improper Traffic Lane Usage.  Gates was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was released to the Correctional Staff and held in lieu of bond.

Sept. 26

At approximately 7:33 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a noise complaint at Sledgehammers Bar 1450 N IL Rte 2, Oregon. After a brief investigation, Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies arrested bar owner Jason Stombaugh for Disorderly Conduct. Stombaugh was released on an I-Bond and will appear in court at a later date.

Sept. 25

William Hagemann was taken into custody on an outstanding Ogle County Warrant for Contempt in Civil Court with a bond of $345 USC. Hagemann was transported to the Ogle County Jail and released to the Correctional Staff.

At 1:48 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 6000 block of North Illinois Rte 251 for a traffic violation. After a brief investigation Deputies arrested Joseph D. Walker, 27 of Rockford, for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Walker was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was released to Correctional staff and held in lieu of bond.

Rebekah Parker, 36, of Rockford was arrested for Failure to Appear warrant. Parker had a bond of $1,493.42. Parker went to court and recieved a $1000 recog. Parker will return to court on 10/26/20 at 9:00am. Parker was released from the Ogle County jail.

Sept. 24

At 7:47 p.m. Deputies stopped a 2011 Gray Nissan truck on I88 at mile marker 76 for speeding.  After a short investigation Deputies arrested Kenneth Tautkus, 39 of Sugar Grove, for Unlawful Possession of Cannabis (30-100 grams) and Unlawful Possession of Cannabis in a Vehicle.  Tautkus was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.

Sept. 23

At approximately 10:20 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 7000 block of N IL Rte 2. After investigation, Deputies arrested Martavius Woodson, 28 of Chicago, for Driving While License Suspended. Woodson was also taken into custody for having an active Cook County Warrant. Woodson was issued citations for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and two equipment violations. Woodson was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was released to correctional staff and held in lieu of bond.

At approximately 10:20 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 7000 block of N IL Rte 2. After investigation, Deputies arrested Ramon Woodson, 26 of Chicago, for Driving While License Suspended. Woodson was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was released to correctional staff and held in lieu of bond.

At 5:11 p.m., Deputies responded to Hogan road and Rocky Hollow road for a report of an overturned semi truck and trailer hauling corn.  It was determined that a 2018 Freightliner driven by James T. Rife, 73 of Rockford, was traveling north on Rocky Hollow road from Hogan road, when he went off the east side of the road causing the tractor trailer to roll over onto the roof.  Rife was extricated by Oregon Fire and transported to a Rockford Hospital by Oregon Ambulance for injuries sustained in the crash.  Deputies were assisted on scene by the Illinois State Police.  The crash remains under investigation.

Sept. 21

At approximately 4:10 p.m. Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a Motorcycle Accident in the 6700 blk of West Illinois Route 72.  After an investigation it was learned that Ronald Witherby, 50 of Rockford, struck the rear of another motorcycle, which caused Witherby to lose control of his motorcycle. Witherby was airlifted to St Anthony's Hospital for non life threatening injuries.  Witherby was issued citations for Driving on a Revoked License, No Motorcycle Classification, Expired Registration, Operating a Vehicle With No Insurance, and Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.  D and W towing removed the vehicle from the location.

Sept. 19

At approximately 4:40 a.m., Deputies responded to a single vehicle accident in the 6000 block of N River Rd . After investigation, Deputies arrested Dylan DeYoung, 26 of Rockford, for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. DeYoung was also issued citations for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Improper Lane Usage and Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident. DeYoung was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was released to correctional staff and held in lieu of bond.

At approximately 5:32 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 1500 block of E IL Rte 64. After investigation, Deputies arrested Amanda Reynolds, 45 of Sun Prairie Wis., for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Reynolds was also issued citations for Improper Lane Usage and Illegal Transportation of Alcohol. Reynolds was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was released to correctional staff and held in lieu of bond.
