At approximately 6:48 a.m. Ogle County Deputies, along with Polo Fire Department, Polo EMS, and the Polo Police Department responded to a single vehicle accident at the intersection of Henry Rd. and Freeport Rd. After an investigation, it was learned that Shawn M. Jacobs, 27 of Mt. Carroll was westbound on Henry Rd. when he failed to stop at the stop intersection. Jacobs entered the ditch and struck an embankment. Jacobs was transported to CGH Medical Center in Sterling. Jacobs was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Jacobs was also given a citation for Disregarding a Stop Sign, Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident, Expired Registration, and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Jacobs was released to CGH Medical Center for injuries sustained during the accident.

 Oct. 4

At approximately 10:09 a.m. Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies performed a traffic stop in the 11,000 block of N. Kennedy Hill Road.  After investigation, Deputies placed Ryan Anderson, 35 of Byron under arrest for No Valid Driver's License. Anderson was additionally issued a citation for Operating an Uninsured motor vehicle. Anderson was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond. 

At approximately 2:33 p.m. Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies performed a traffic stop at the intersection of Ridge Road and Edgewood Road.  After investigation, Deputies placed Samantha Perez, 21 of Dixon under arrest for Driving While License Suspended.  Perez was additionally issued a citation for Illegal Transportation of Alcohol.  Perez was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held in lieu of bond. 

Oct. 3

Anthony Cuchiara, 23, of Rochelle was arrested for a Civil Contempt warrant. Cuchiara has a bond of $400 and will return to court on 10/10/19 at 10am.

Sept. 30

At approximately 8:08 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the area of Carriage Road and Beebe Drive in reference to a suspicious person believed to be a passenger in a vehicle pursuit which occurred earlier in the morning and crashed. After checking the area Deputies were able to locate a similar subject and the subject fled on foot after being ordered to stop. Deputies later located the subject, a 17 yr. old male from Rockford hiding in a shed behind a property in the area. The male was taken into limited custody for Obstructing a Peace Officer and later released to his legal guardian.  Rochelle Police Department helped assist in the incident. 

At approximately 3:45 p.m., Ogle County Deputies, along with Polo Fire, EMS and Police Department's responded to a two-vehicle accident at the north intersection of Illinois Route 26 and Illinois Route 64. After an investigation it was learned that a 2016 red Chevy pickup, driven by Jeffery Singley, age 49 of Forreston sideswiped a blue Chevy Equinox, driven by Michelle Tirado, age 46 of Lanark. Tirado was transported to FHN Hospital by Polo EMS. 

At approximately 1:30 a.m., Ogle County Deputies attempted to stop a vehicle on  Hwy. 251 / Rte. 64. The vehicle fled from Deputies and was later stopped on Flagg Rd near Rochelle after striking stop sticks. After conducting a investigation it was learned that the vehicle was stolen out of Rockford. The 16 year old female driver was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Fleeing to Elude, Driving While Suspended, and Speeding. She was transported to a Juvenile Detention Center where she will be held pending a court appearance.

Sept. 29

At 3:05 p.m. Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop, for a registration violation at Willow road and 1st Street, Forreston. After a brief investigation Deputies arrested Kolby J. Morningstar, 20, of Dekalb for Driving on a Suspended License. Morningstar was taken to the Ogle County jail and held in lieu of bond.   

Sept. 28

At approximately 10 p.m., Ogle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a white Chevy Lumina in the 7600 block of North River Rd. After conducting an investigation Kieth Britsch, 54, of Oregon was arrested for Driving While License Revoked. Britsch was transported to the ogle County Hail where he was held in lieu of bond.

Sept. 27

At 5:50 a.m., Ogle County Deputies initiated a traffic stop for an equipment violation in at Stone Hill Rd and Rte 64. After a short investigation Deputies arrested Jamie Gasper-Hernandez, 48, of Rochelle, for No Valid Driver’s License. Jamie was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.  

Sept. 26

At approximately 10:20 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 2000 block of S IL Rte 251. After a short investigation, Deputies arrested Jacob Zamora, 18 of Rochelle, for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Zamora was also issued citations for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, No Rear Registration Plate Light, and Possession of Cannabis Under 10 Grams.  Zamora was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was released to Correctional staff and held in lieu of bond.

Sept. 25

At 9:50 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 7000 block of North IL Rte 2 for an Equipment Violation. After an investigation, Peggy Campello, 39 of Rockford, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Hypodermic Syringes, and No Valid Driver's License. Campello was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.

Sept. 24

At 7:51 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies stopped a Tan Buick in the 12,000 block N. Rt. 26 for a moving violation. After a further investigation the driver Shatara C. Zimerman, 33, of Forreston was arrested for Driving while License Suspended. Zimmerman was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she posted bond and was given an October court date

Sept. 22

At approximately 12:54 p.m., Deputies responded to a two -vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of IL Rte. 72 and Pecatonica Road. After arriving Deputies learned a gray Buick SUV driven by Samantha Berry, 32, of Oregon, was traveling southbound on Pecatonica Road and came to the stop intersection of IL Rte. 72. The Buick then pulled out in front of red Chevrolet SUV driven by Richard Pleiser, 48 of Bellevue, Iowa, which was traveling westbound on IL Rte. 72. Both the Chevrolet and Buick sustained heavy front end damage. Berry was transported to FHN Hospital in Freeport by ambulance for non life threatening injuries. Pleiser and his passenger Dawn Rodriguez, age 45, of Bellevue, Iowa were both transported to Rockford Memorial Hospital by ambulance for non life threatening injuries. Byron EMS, Mt. Morris EMS, Leaf River EMS, Leaf River Fire, and Byron Police Department assisted with the accident. The accident remains under investigation. 

Sept. 21

Joshua Geeting, 32 of Sterling, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for Driving While License Suspended. Geeting has a bond of $5,000/10 percent and will go to court on 09/23/19 at 1 p.m.

Jamie R. Mancillas, 44, of Aston was arrested on a Failure to Register warrant. Mancillas has a bond of $50,000/10 percent. Mancillas will go to court on 09/23/19 at 1 p.m.

At approximately 7:36 a.m., Deputies responded to the 11000 block of W. White Eagle Road in reference to a one vehicle accident involving injuries. After arriving on scene Deputies learned a 2006 Ford F-250 driven by Loran Wilken, 78 of Leaf River, was traveling eastbound when it lost control on the gravel road. The pickup truck then traveled off of the north side of the road way before overturning several times in the cornfield before coming to rest. The accident occurred at approximately 11 p.m. on 09/20/19 and wasn't located until 7:36 a.m. on 09/21/19. Wilken sustained serious injuries and was transported to FHN Memorial Hospital by EMS. Forreston EMS and Freeport Rural EMS assisted with the accident. The accident remains under investigation.

At approximately 7:08 p.m., Ogle County Deputies, along with Oregon Police Department, Oregon Fire Department, and Oregon EMS responded to a two -vehicle accident in the 4000 block of East Illinois Route 64.  After an investigation it was learned that a sliver Oldsmobile, driven by Darwin R Kirchner, 87 of Oregon, crossed the center line and struck an on coming vehicle. Darwin was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.  Esther Kirchner was transported to KSB hospital by Oregon EMS for minor injuries.

Sept. 20

At 12:24 p.m., following a traffic stop in the 700 block of W Washington St in Oregon, IL Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Kirk Shenberger, 67 of Dakota, Ill., for Driving Under the Influence. Shenberger was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.

Sept. 19

Matthew Curley, 40, of Rockford was arrested for a Failure to Appear Warrant. Curley had a bond of $2518. Curley will go back to court on 09/20/19 at 9 a.m.
