Nov. 10

At approximately 6:54 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a single vehicle rollover accident just east of I39/Rte 64 with no injuries. After investigation, Gemma Alvarez- Cervantes, 20, of Rockford, was issued a citation for No Driver's License- Never Issued. Alvarez-Cervantes was released on an I-bond to appear in court on a later date.

Nov. 7

At approximately 3 p.m., Ogle County Deputies along with Oregon Fire/EMS responded to a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Pines Road and Angus Road.  After conducting an investigation it was learned John Hawkins, 76 of Oregon, was on his motorcycle when a Subaru traveling in front of him slowed down to avoid an animal in the roadway. Hawkins didn't see the vehicle slowing until after the crest of the hill rear ending the Subaru causing him to be thrown from the motorcycle.  Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene. Hawkins was transported to Javon Bae Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. 

Nov. 6

Gerad Rogde, 32, of Oregon was arrested for a Driving while License suspended warrant. Rogde has a bond of $3000/10 percent, and will go to court on 11/06/2020 at 1 p.m. Rogde remains in the Ogle County Jail.

Nov. 5

Darrius Garcia, 41 of Dixon, was arrested for an outstanding Ogle County warrant for Driving Under the Influence of an Intoxicating Compound. Garcia was unable to post the $5,000/10 percent bond and will go to court 11/09/20 at 1 p.m.

Nov. 2

The following people were arrested for Ogle County Outstanding warrants:

Liza J. Angiano-Mascorro, 18, of Rochelle for Failure to Appear. Angiano-Mascorro has a bond of $221 and will go to court on 11/02/2020 at 1 p.m.

Rebecca L. DuFoe, 48, of Rockford for Failure to Appear. DuFoe has a bond of $2,697 and will go to court on 11/02/2020 at 1 p.m.

Jordan A. Shank, 22, of Mount Morris for Failure to Appear. Shank has a bond of $2,229.50 and will go to court on 11/02/2020 at 1 p.m.

Tyrell J. Taylor, 32 of Rockford for Driving on a Suspended License warrant. Taylor has a bond of $5,000/10%. Taylor will go to court on 11/02/2020 at 1 p.m.

Jesus Valdez JR., 35, of Sterling for Failure to Appear. Valdez has a bond of $2223.50 and will go to court on 11/02/2020 at 1 p.m.

Robert J. Curatola, 33, of Oregon for Failure to Appear. Curatola has a bond of $2,195 and will go to court on 11/02/2020 at 1 p.m.  

Nov. 1

Reed Scheidecker, 33, of Byron was arrested by the Ogle County Sheriff's Office for a Drug Court warrant. Scheidecker has no bond and will go to court on 11/06/2020 at 10 a.m. Scheidecker remains in the Ogle County Jail.

Oct. 28

Christopher J. Marmy, 25, of Davenport, Iowa was arrested by the Ogle County Sheriff's Office for a Failure to Appear warrant. Marmy has a bond of $481 and will go to court on 10/28/2020 at 1 p.m. Marmy remains in custody at the Ogle County Jail.

Mario L Smith, 37, of Oregon was arrested by the Ogle County Sheriff's Office for a Driving While License Suspended warrant. Smith was able to post bond and was released from the Ogle County Jail.

Oct. 27

At approximately 3:31 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 17,000 block of West Illinois Rte 64. After a brief investigation, Richard Irvin, 62 of Polo, was issued a citation for No Valid Driver's License. Irvin was released on an I-bond and will appear in court on a later date.

Oct. 23

Ogle County Sheriff's Office arrested the following people on Ogle County Outstanding Warrants.
Ruben Garza, 58, of Rock Falls for Resisting a Peace Officer warrant. Garza had a bond of $5000/10% and was able to post bond. Garza was released from the Ogle County jail and will return to court on 11/20/20 at 9 a.m.

Cynthia L. Tillmon, 51, of Chicago for DUI Drugs warrant. Tillmon had a bond of $3000/10% and was able to post bond. Tillmon was released from the Ogle County jail and will return to court on 11/20/20 at 9 a.m.

Oct. 21

At 11:48 a.m. the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office, Leaf River Fire Department and the Leaf River ambulance responded to a one vehicle accident with injuries in the 2,000 block w. Rt 72. A black GMC Envoy driven by Tracy E. Reeder, age 53, of Mount Morris was eastbound on Rt. 72 when he left the right side of the road striking an embankment then crossing over the road and coming to a stop in the Northside ditch. Reeder was transported to Swedish American hospital by Leaf River ambulance after suffering from an unknown medical conditional. The accident remains under investigation.
