Ogle County Sheriff 5-2-22

April 12

At approximately 9:55 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Mudcreek Road and West Cliff Road.  After further investigation, Deja N. Patton, 24 of Mount Morris, was arrested for Driving Unlicensed.  Patton was also cited for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Obstructed Registration.  Patton was released from the scene on an I-Bond.  ​

 

April 11

At 10:52 p.m.., Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop on I-39 south bound at mile marker 104. After an investigation, Jettie Strub, 51 of Dekalb, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, aggravated driving while license revoked, and resisting/obstructing a peace officer. Strub was also cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, no registration light, and open alcohol/driver. Strub was transported to the Ogle County Jail, and held until her appearance before a judge.

 

At approximately 2:46 p.m. Deputies conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Pine St. and Grant St. in Stillman Valley.  After investigation, Deputies placed Kevin Jones, 42 of Stillman Valley under arrest for Driving While License Revoked.  Jones was additionally issued a citation for use of an electronic communication device.  Jones was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.   

 

At approximately 10:41 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 5000 block of North Illinois Rt 2.  After further investigation, James P Wessels, 60 of Rockford, was arrested for Driving While License Suspended.  Wessels was also cited for Speeding and Operating an Unregistered Vehicle. Wessels was released from the scene on an I-Bond.  A passenger in the vehicle, Mitchell A Wessels, 36 of Rockford, was placed under arrest for outstanding Ogle County and Stephenson County warrants.  Mitchell Wessels was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

 

April 10

At approximately 1:58 p.m. Deputies responded to a hit and run in the 1,000 block of West Pines Road.  Ogle County Deputies and Oregon Police Department were able to locate the offending vehicle and initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of 5th Street and Washington Street in Oregon.  Upon further investigation Chad Sparby,  29 of Dixon, was arrested for Resisting a Peace Officer.  Sparby was also cited for possession of cannabis, reckless driving, operate an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and improper lane usage.  Sparby was transported to the Ogle County Jail in lieu of bond.

 

At approximately 2:34 a.m., Ogle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 4000 block of North River Road for a lane usage and speeding violation. After investigation, Curtis Hillard, 26 of Rockford, was arrested for No Valid Driver’s License and cited for Illegal Transportation of Alcohol. Hillard was transported to the Ogle County Jail. Hillard was additionally charged with Felony Obstructing for originally providing a false name.  Hilliard was also held on an Illinois Department of Corrections Warrant.  

 

April 9

At approximately 8:30 a.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 7000 block of S. IL Route 2.  After conducting a brief investigation, Jaminique Danielowski, 28 of Rockford, was cited and placed under arrest and Driving while License Revoked, as well as, Obstructing Identification.  Danielowksi was issued an additional citation for Speeding and subsequently transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held in lieu of bond.  

 

At 10:54 p.m., Deputies responded to 6929 West Pines Road, White Pines Roller Rink for a disturbance. After a brief investigation Deputies arrested a 16 year old female from Sterling for battery. The juvenile was released to her grandmother. She will appear in Ogle County court at a later date.

 

April 8

At approximately 12:15 p.m., the Ogle County Narcotics Task Force, which is comprised of Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office and Officers from the Rochelle Police Department, executed a search warrant in the 11000 block of Lincoln Lane of Rochelle.  Pursuant to the search warrant, Michael Holland, 53 of Rochelle was placed under arrest for the following charges: Unlawful possession with intent to deliver (class X Felony), unlawful possession of a controlled substance of crack cocaine between 15-100 grams (class 1 felony), unlawful possession of a controlled substance of hydrocodone pills (class 4 felony), and endangering the life and health of a child (class a misdemeanor).  Holland was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held pending a court appearance in front of a judge. The investigation is still ongoing with additional charges pending.
