OREGON — On Oct. 31 at around 11:13 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of East Illinois Route 38 and Brush Grove Road. After a brief investigation, it was learned that Yilber Sorza-Mayorga, 26, of Rochelle, was driving the vehicle with no valid license. Sorza-Mayorga was arrested for no valid license and released with a notice to appear. Sorza-Mayorga was additionally cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and no taillights.

On Oct. 31 at approximately 3:59 p.m. deputies arrived at 3279 South Illinois Route 251 regarding a reported battery. After an investigation, deputies placed a 15-year-old juvenile male into limited custody for battery.  The juvenile was transported to the Kane County Juvenile Detention Center.  The 15-year-old male victim was transported to Rochelle Community Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

All individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty.
