At 3:25 p.m., Oregon Police issued Brandon J. Meinors, 33, Oregon, a citation for use of a cell phone while driving. This violation occurred in the 600 block of N. 4th Street.

At 3:32 p.m., Oregon Police issued Stephen Webster, 26, Dixon, a citation for unlawful window tint. This violation occurred in the 200 block of S. 4th Street.
Jan. 1
At 6:30 p.m., Oregon Police arrested Jolina M. Ramos, 28, Dixon, on an outstanding Lee County warrant for failure to appear. Ramos was transported to the Ogle County jail.
Jan. 2
At 5:02 a.m., Oregon Police issued a city citation to Brody J. Stone, 20, Oregon, for violating the barking dog ordinance. This violation occurred in the 400 block of N. 6th Street.
At 7:05 a.m., Oregon Police investigated a two-vehicle traffic crash at the intersection of Washington and 4th Streets involving a 1996 Ford driven by Nathanael G. Rittmeyer, 27, Oregon, and a 2015 Nissan driven by Katrina D. Greer, 25, of Galesburg, IL. Rittmeyer was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
Jan. 3
At 11:29 p.m., Oregon Police issued Robert J. Ricks, 67, Rockford, a citation for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. A passenger in Ricks’ vehicle, Leih A. Steinhoff, 41, Rockford, was arrested on an outstanding Rockford Police Department warrant. Ricks was allowed to leave the scene. Steinhoff was transported to the Ogle County jail. These violations occurred in the 400 block of S. 4th Street.
Jan. 4
At 5:45 a.m., Oregon Police investigated a car vs building traffic crash at the McDonald’s restaurant, 211 S. 4th Street, where a 2013 Ford driven by Kayla R. Barton, 22, Oregon, struck the side of the building. No citations were issued.
At 8:15 p.m., Oregon Police arrested Jonathon J. Wilson, 36, Maple Park, IL, for driving while license suspended. Wilson was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Wilson was transported to the Ogle County jail. These violations occurred in the 900 block of W. Pines Road.

At 4:35 p.m., Oregon Police investigated a two-vehicle traffic crash in the 1100 block of Jefferson Street involving a 2013 Kia driven by Jessica V. Geske, 16, Oregon, and a parked 2007 Nissan belonging to Jennifer A. Kenney, 46, Oregon. No citations were issued.

At 7:55 p.m., Oregon Police issued Drew M. Harper, 16, Byron, a citation for speeding, 47 mph in a 30 mph zone. This violation occurred near the intersection of N. 4th and Fair Streets.
Jan. 10
At 3:55 p.m., Oregon Police responded to a two-vehicle traffic crash in the Super Value parking lot located at 204 N. 4th Street involving a 2001 Chrysler driven by Samantha R. Smitherman, age 12, Mt. Morris, and a parked 2015 Nissan belonging to James P. Wooden, 36, Dixon. The owner of the Chrysler, Michelle R. Smitherman was issued citations for driving while suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle for operating the motor vehicle previously.
At 7:20 p.m., Oregon Police investigated a hit and run that had just occurred in the 300 block of S. 5th Street where a parked 2017 Chevrolet belonging to Nicholas J. Dawtyne, 34, Oregon, was struck by an unknown vehicle, possibly a silver or tan van or SUV, and left the scene. At 11:44 p.m., Oregon Police arrested Tommie L. Hurst, 29, Oregon, for obstructing a peace officer. Hurst was transported to the Ogle County jail. This violation occurred at the intersection of 1st and Clay Streets.

At 2:55 a.m., Oregon Police responded to a noise complaint in the 400 block of N. 6th Street resulting in issuing a city citation to Brody J. Stone, 20, Oregon, for violating the noise ordinance.
Jan. 12
At 12:28 p.m., Oregon Police investigated a two-vehicle traffic crash in the parking lot of McDonald’s, located at 211 S. 4th Street involving a 2008 Dodge driven by Julie M. White, 61, Mt. Morris, and a 1998 Chevrolet driven by James E. Farmer, 73, Oregon. No citations were issued.
