Oregon Police report 11-12

Oct. 29

At 10:35 a.m., Oregon Police responded to a two-vehicle traffic crash in the 900 block of Madison Street involving a 2006 Hyundai driven by Carmen Nguyen, 64, Oregon, and a parked 2013 Toyota belonging to Gregory L. Cotovski, 41, Oregon and a utility pole in the terrace of 904 Madison Street. Nguyen was arrested for driving while license suspended and was also issued a citation for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Nguyen was transported to the Ogle County jail.

At 3 p.m., Oregon Police responded to the Oregon High School and took one 16-year-old male juvenile into limited custody for the offense of possession of an electronic smoking device. The juvenile was released into a parent’s custody with the report being referred to the State’s Attorney’s Office.

At 8:43 p.m., Oregon Police responded to a disturbance in the 900 block of Jefferson Street resulting in the arrest of Delylah N. Sensor, 18, Oregon, for domestic battery. Sensor was transported to the Ogle County jail.

Oct. 31

At 11:17 a.m., Oregon Police issued Elizabeth A. Gray, 33, Oregon, a citation for operating a vehicle with an expired registration. This violation occurred in the 500 block of Fair Street.

At 2:50 p.m., Oregon Police arrested Leo R. Dempewolf, 26, Oregon, for theft under $300. Dempewolf was transported to the Ogle County jail.

At 10:30 p.m., Oregon Police issued Sarah R. Wagner, 37, Mt. Morris, citations for no valid registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. These violations occurred in the 600 block of W. Washington Street.

 

Nov. 1

At 1:20 a.m., Oregon Police issued Hannah E. Ellison, 25, Oregon, citations for no valid driver’s license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. These violations occurred in the 400 block of Adams Street.

At 4:25 p.m., Oregon Police issued Noah D. Paul, 18, Oregon, a citation for reckless driving for an incident that occurred the previous day at 3:05 p.m., while leaving the Oregon High School parking lot.

At 7:30 p.m., Oregon Police investigated a two-vehicle traffic crash in the 800 block of S. 4th Street involving a 2018 Nissan driven by Gary A. Helms, 64, Rock Falls, and a parked vehicle belonging to Jonathan P. Coleman, 46, Oregon. Helms was issued a citation for failure to give information after striking an unattended vehicle or other property.

At 8:37 p.m., Oregon Police issued Von E. Johnson, 47, Rockford, citations for speeding, 41 mph in a 30 mph zone, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. These violations occurred in the 600 block of N. 4th Street.

 

Nov. 2

At 1 p.m., Oregon Police charged Darren T. Barker, 48, Mt. Morris, with retail theft from the Oregon Super Value. Barker was already in custody at the Ogle County jail.

 

Nov. 3

At 12:40 a.m., Oregon Police issued Nathaniel A. Louderbeck, 26, of Marengo, a citation for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. This violation occurred in the 100 block of N. 4th Street.

At 1:25 a.m., Oregon Police issued Katherine C. Roxworthy, 17, Rockford, citations for speeding, 70mph in a 30mph zone, and no valid driver’s license. These violations occurred in the 300 block of N. 4th Street.

At 1:25 a.m., Oregon Police took one 17-year-old female juvenile of Rockford into limited custody for the offense of being out after curfew. A second 17-year-old female juvenile of Rockford was also taken into limited custody for the offenses of being out after curfew and unlawful possession of tobacco. Both juveniles were released into their parent’s custody with no further action necessary.

At 6 p.m., Oregon Police issued Meghan R. Turner, 35, Oregon, a citation for disobeying a traffic control device. This violation occurred at the intersection of Washington and 3rd Streets.

 

Nov. 4

At 7:45 a.m., Oregon Police arrested Alexander L. Pierce, 23, Oregon, for battery, which had occurred the previous evening in the 500 block of Illinois Street. Pierce was transported to the Ogle County jail.

 

3 verbal/written warnings were issued from 10/29/18 through 11/04/18.
