Oregon Police report 5-20-19

May 4

At 10:21 a.m., Oregon Police investigated a two-vehicle traffic crash in the parking lot of McDonald’s restaurant located in the 200 block of S. 4th Street involving a 2015 Kia driven by Lois E. Dean, 66, Franklin Grove, and a 2019 Honda driven by Morgan E. Beaty, 23, of Sycamore. No citations were issued.

At 1:24 p.m., Oregon Police investigated a two-vehicle traffic crash in the parking lot of Snyder’s Ace Hardware located at 201 N. 4th Street involving a 2009 Chevrolet driven by Sonia M. Vogl, 81, and a parked 2010 Ford belonging to Valli A. Herriot, 62, Oregon. No citations were issued.

May 6

At 3:10 p.m., Oregon Police took one 16-year-old male juvenile of Mt. Morris into limited custody for the offense of criminal damage to property. The juvenile was released into his parent’s custody with recommendation for diversional instructions in place.

At 6:32 p.m., Oregon Police issued a 17-year-old male juvenile from Rockford a civil citation for the offense of possession of cannabis less than 10 grams. This violation occurred in the 100 block of River Road.

May 7

At 6:27 p.m., Oregon Police responded to a disturbance call in the 600 block of Timber Lane resulting in the arrest of Lesa L. Fenton, 50, Oregon, for domestic battery. Fenton was transported to the Ogle County jail.

At 10:53 p.m., Oregon Police arrested Christian R. Kettwich, 24, Oregon, on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for contempt of court. Kettwich was transported to the Ogle County jail.

May 8

At 11:30 a.m., Oregon Police issued Daniel V. Beltran, age 53, Rockford, a citation for speeding, 41 mph in a 30 mph zone. This violation occurred in the 800 block of N. 4th Street.

 

May 9

At 4:23 p.m., Oregon Police responded to a car vs fence traffic crash in the parking lot of the McDonald’s restaurant, located at 211 S. 4th Street involving a 2014 Buick driven by Edward A. Schnulle, 92, Polo. No citations were issued.

 

May 10

At 1:30 p.m., one 17-year-old male juvenile of Oregon, was issued a city citation for possession of an alternative nicotine product. This violation occurred in the Blackhawk Center during school hours.

At 4:35 p.m., Oregon Police arrested Joseph W. Miller, 38, of Davenport, IA, on an outstanding Carrol County warrant for failure to appear on a driving while license suspended charge and an outstanding Ogle County warrant for contempt of court. Miller was transported to the Ogle County jail.

 

May 11

At 6:29 p.m., Oregon Police responded to 200 W. Washington Street for a two-car traffic crash involving a 2013 Ford driven by Matthew S. Bowser, 42, of Carol Stream, IL, and a 2007 Honda driven by Philip L. Collalti, age 81, of Freeport. Bowser was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

 

1 parking tickets and 4 verbal/written warnings were issued from 05/06/19 through 05/12/19.
